The authoritarian regime has blamed the United States of an act of "imperial aggression," stating that ex- President Donald Trump allegedly directed attacks against the Latin American nation. In an formal statement, the government asserted that strikes had impacted Caracas and three other states: Miranda, La Guaira state, and Aragua.
"The only objective of this aggression is to take control of Venezuela's strategic resources, especially its oil and minerals," the government declared.
Venezuelan officials urged the world to denounce the operations, which it described a "flagrant violation of global law" that endangered millions of civilians in danger.
