Devoted fans of the pop star are urging that a man who jumped a barrier and touched the actress during the recent Wicked: For Good debut be taken into custody or removed from Singapore.

A widely shared video reveals the Australian man shoving aside media personnel and rushing toward Grande while the performers made its way down a event pathway flanked by supporters.

Fellow actress Cynthia Erivo immediately pulled the shocked star away from Mr Wen, who was spotted being escorted out of the premiere by event staff.

Mr Wen posted on Instagram Thursday evening that he was "released after being taken in", though legal records revealed that he was scheduled to attend court on the next day. It is uncertain if he was formally accused.

Record of Incidents

This is not an isolated incident for Mr Wen, who labels himself a "Notorious Troublemaker", has invaded a celebrity gathering. His Instagram feed features recordings of him disrupting other star-studded functions, including rushing the platform at Katy Perry's Sydney performance in earlier this year and in a comparable manner during The Chainsmokers performance in the same location last year.

"Measures must be taken applied against him as this is obviously a legal violation," commented an Instagram follower, in a reply to a video Mr Wen uploaded of his behavior.

"You've done this repeatedly... how are you not behind bars?" one Instagram user remarked.

Fans Voice Worry Over Grande's Safety

Many fans accused Mr Wen for "re-traumatising" Grande, who had revealed experiencing trauma-related anxiety after a terrorist explosion at the finale of her May 2017 performance in Manchester, killing 22 people and wounding hundreds.

"After everything she's faced... including the Manchester attack, you considered it entertaining to rush the barrier?" said a further message on Instagram.

A number of attendees also criticised event staff at the Thursday event for not being sufficiently alert; while different individuals demanded online networks to ban Mr Wen's uploads.

Aftermath and Event Details

In videos circulating online, Grande appeared shocked when she was approached by the man. Her cast members Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be spotted reassuring her while Mr Wen was escorted away by staff.

Grande has not commented on the situation, and the premiere activities carried on uninterrupted.

Many of Singapore fans had lined up to see the actors of Wicked

Hundreds of attendees had gathered in a crowd of green and pink at the Wicked: For Good Asia-Pacific debut in a Singapore mall, including several who had stood in line for as long as a significant duration before it started.

The motion picture, to be launched on the 21st of November, is the sequel of a two-part version of the well-known theatrical show Wicked, which revolves around the unlikely friendship between two very different characters.

The musical itself is a derivative of the twentieth-century children's novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who acts as the benevolent sorceress Glinda, was adorned in a rosé glittering gown at the gathering while Erivo, who acts as the Elphaba, wore a black tube gown decorated with roses.

They were joined by fellow actor Jeff Goldblum.

The initial film, Wicked, was the highest-grossing motion picture of 2024 in the UK, and received a dozen award recognitions, winning several for best costume and artistic direction.
