The Co-Creator of Call of Duty, Has Died in a California Traffic Collision

The co-creator of Call of Duty, renowned for co-creating the globally famous video game Call of Duty, has died in a traffic collision in the state of California he was 55 years old.

Zampella's death was announced by Electronic Arts, the publisher that controls Respawn Entertainment, a game studio he co-founded.

The celebrated industry figure lost his life when his car crashed and caught fire on a freeway in the Los Angeles area on this past Sunday, US media outlets report.

"This is a heartbreaking loss, and our deepest sympathies go to Vince's family, his family, and everyone impacted by his legacy," a representative from Electronic Arts commented.
