To see him recognized within the industry and other folks in Hollywood, I know it would signify so much for him.

What’s Next from the Director

Looking ahead, it appears that Sinners certainly offered Coogler the inspiration to continue exploring horror genres.

Speaking about additional factors drives his choice to reimagine the popular franchise, he shared:

Just as with my relationship with Rocky through my dad, this series holds a special place with my mom.
My mother means the world for me — she is here tonight — so this is a major project to me.
My goal is to do justice by her plus the audience. My mom has seen some of the writing I wrote for the project. She’s enthusiastic.

There’s no telling when this interpretation for the iconic series will get its release.

However, everyone receive another shot to experience his genuinely amazing Sinners during its return in IMAX theaters this Oct. 30.
