Police have released alarming footage showing a driver performing risky drifting maneuvers on a roundabout during an illegal vehicle gathering, putting spectators at serious risk of injury.
An individual aged 23 from Southampton received a 27-week prison sentence, suspended for one year, after admitting to dangerous driving.
Additionally, the court imposed a one-year license suspension and mandated community service along with a behavioral course.
According to authorities, the recording was captured at an unauthorized automobile gathering in Portsmouth on 28 December 2024, featuring the individual driving a distinctive colored vehicle.
“This footage shows the alarming moment when a reckless motorist skidded around a roundabout at an illegal car meet, while spectators watched despite the danger of severe harm.”
Police representatives stated that more than two hundred violations related to illegal car meets in the area have been addressed in just over a year.
